Dennis Wilhelms is a freelance photographer based in Cologne, Germany. His work centers on conceptual portraits and reportage photography; the images he creates are driven by the complex and sometimes dark interactions of the human species.

Besides working on his freelance projects, Dennis teaches photography and digital post-production in various courses for photography schools and private facilities.

Dennis graduated the Fotoakademie Cologne in 2016.

His diploma project "Tesseract" was curated at the contemporary art ruhr 2016 as part of the c.a.r. Talents 2016.

The series “The Elephant in the Room” was shortlisted at the renowned Felix Schöller Photography Award in 2017.
